Biography
With nine NFL seasons under his belt, Shaun Ellis knows a thing or two about hard work and dedication. Drafted by the New York Jets with the 12th overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, Ellis is currently the longest tenured player on the Jets’ roster. Throughout his long and successful career as a defensive end, Shaun has put together impressive statistics: 410 tackles, 61.5 sacks, and one interception. In addition, Shaun was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2003. Born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina, Ellis began his successful football career at University of Tennessee where he had no trouble making a name for himself. Off the field, Shaun is a family man with a wife and two kids. Giving back to the community is something he believes strongly in, and as a result, he has joined the Touchdown Shutdown Program to benefit After-School All-Stars.
